Stronger U Feature Guide

The Stronger U App was created to enhance your 1:1 coaching experience. Through working with tens of thousands of clients, collecting feedback, and using evidence-based tools, our team of experts designed the Stronger U App to give you the best-personalized nutrition coaching at your fingertips. Use this guide to explore and understand the Stronger U App features. 

First, before downloading the app, we recommend that iOS users sync all third-party apps with Apple Health Kit. These apps include activity trackers, smart scales, sleep trackers, etc... Our app pulls this data from Apple Health Kit to provide you a holistic wellness experience. Please view this page to learn how to sync your third-party applications with the Apple Health Kit. 

Downloading the Stronger U App

The Stronger U App is available on mobile devices only. It’s compatible with iOS version 16.0 or higher and Android 8 (API 26+).   
 
After you log into the Stronger U App for the first time, a pop-up will ask to allow notifications. Please click
Allow.

Steps to Confirm Notification Settings on iPhone 
1.   Open Phone Settings > Notifications. 
2.   Scroll down and select the Stronger U App  
3.   Toggle the Allow Notification button to turn them on 
4.   We recommend checking all alert options and changing banner style to ‘Persistent’

Once you log in, you’ll notice there’s a navigation bar with several tabs at the bottom of the screen. Each category takes you to a new screen that contains different features to enhance your 1:1 coaching. See below for a short overview of each.

Your Home Tab

When you open your Stronger U App, you’ll immediately land on the home screen that houses the features you'll use on a regular basis. You’ll see a photo of your coach and your most recent communication, where you can easily reply and correspond.  If you’re new to Stronger U, please allow 48 hours from completion of your intake form to be assigned your coach and see these fields populated.

Additionally, here you can access:

  • Your customized Log and check-in with alerts
  • The “Learn” section which contains categorized science-backed content and resources in card format. You can mark cards complete as you finish and refer back to all cards by clicking on “See All”
  • New user onboarding. If you are new to Stronger U, please view your Welcome card first to start onboarding.

Coach Tab

The coach tab makes it easy to scan your coach messages, review past check-ins by date, know more about your coach, and message them from anywhere at any time.  

Here you can:

  • Find your next Check-In due date
  • Easily refer to past check-ins and coach feedback
  • Read your coach bio to learn more about your coach, their experience, and their personality
  • Message your coach any time and view your conversation

Log Tab

For a deep dive into how to use your interactive log and nutrition tracker, please view this user guide and video tutorials.

The Stronger U Log is completely customizable to meet your needs and help you hit your goals. You and your coach work together to determine what lifestyle components you’ll be tracking each day. These components will provide insights into your patterns, progress, and opportunities so that, together with your coach, you can make the necessary adjustments to reach your goals. You should fill out as much of the Log as possible daily.

On the Log screen, you can:

  • View your personalized macronutrient plan
  • Log your food in the largest RD-verified nutrition database
  • Track custom lifestyle components for overall wellbeing

Progress Tab

See your progress over time based on daily tracking of important lifestyle components. Graphs show progress, fluctuations and other notable insights for weight, waist measurements, water intake, sleep, steps, alcohol, and meals out.

Community Tab

Access the Stronger U members-only community in one click. There, you can connect with others on a similar journey, find recipes and meal ideas, give and get virtual high-fives and get tips from other members and coaches.

Progress Tab

Arguably the most valuable part of your membership is your weekly check-in with your coach. Your check-in is dedicated time to reflect on your past week’s successes and struggles and share with your coach for feedback. The check-in is formatted with prompts to answer questions to identify your challenges and strengths. Your Log data from the entire week prior is compiled automatically into your check-in so your coach can get a 360-view of your progress. After submitting your check-in, your coach will follow up with recommendations that can include tips, guidance, helpful articles, videos, and adjustments to your program to increase your program's success.   
 
You can access your check-in from the Home Screen or Coach Screen. To view previous check-ins, please access through the Coach tab.

Other Features

When you click on your profile icon in the upper right corner of the screen (with either your photo or initials), you’ll get a menu with quick access to:

My Profile:  Update your personal information and profile photo

My Account: Manage account information, passwords, memberships, payment information

Settings: Manage units of measurement, and sync third-party apps

App Status: See real-time alerts from the technology team on app updates

Support: Send a message to our Member Experience Team or submit a tech support ticket

University: Our searchable hub of evidence-based tools, articles, how-to guides, recipes, meal-planning tools, and much more

Logout: Sign out of our app

Troubleshooting FAQs

Q: What if I have trouble logging in to the app?

A: The app troubleshooting steps are as follows… 

  1. If you forgot your password, you can reset it here.
  2. If you forgot your login email, you can request it by emailing MXT: info@strongeru.com.
  3. If the above steps do not solve the issue, please submit a ticket to Tech Support at techsupport@strongeru.com.

 Q: Why are my previous chat correspondences with my coach not in the new app?

  A: We upgraded to a new chat platform with enhanced capabilities. With this upgrade, we had to archive chat history from the previous platform. Because we know that chat history can be important, you can easily request it in the app by going to your profile, selecting “Support,” then selecting “Request Chat History.” The Member Experience Team will then export a file with your chat history and send it to your email. Due to an influx of requests, please allow up to 5 business days for a response.

Q: How do I submit a tech support ticket if I’m experiencing technical issues with the app?

A: There are two ways to submit a tech support ticket.  

  1. From the app Home Screen, tap the profile icon in the upper right corner, then tap Support, then select “Tech Support” from the dropdown menu, type your message, hit Send, then watch your email for a response.
  2. Email techsupport@strongeru.com, then watch your email for a response.

Q: I’m having trouble syncing my third-party data to the new SU app? What should I do?

A: If a data integration is not syncing with the new SU App, we suggest that you try the following: 

  1. From the app Home screen, tap the profile icon in the upper right corner, then tap Settings. Review the settings for Meal Logging and Measurement Data and follow the on-screen prompts to re-establish your data sync.
  2. Review this page on how to sync.
  3. If you are still having issues after attempting the above, please submit a ticket to our tech support team to help troubleshoot at techsupport@strongeru.com.
